Zelenskiy Invites Musk to Visit Ukraine
Elon Musk, a businessman, revealed a potential peace deal between Russia and Ukraine in October. The Ukrainian president disapproves of the proposal and thinks that Musk, the owner of Twitter, may be under pressure.
This Wednesday (11.30.2022), Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski denounced Elon Musk’s peace plan to stop the war in Ukraine and advised the founder of Tesla and Twitter to visit Ukrainian land.
When Musk tweeted a proposal for a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine to cease the horrific bloodshed, it caused a stir.
The billionaire advocated for neutral status for Ukraine and the holding of fresh referendums in the Ukrainian territories that Russia had “annexed” as well as the Crimean peninsula.
Zelensky seemed to mock Musk’s plan at a gathering that The New York Times organized by suggesting that Musk visit to Ukraine.
“I think someone has influence over him or is drawing conclusions on his own,” Zelenski said via video link, referring to Musk.
Zelensky launches his own poll on Musk.
“If you want to understand what Russia has done here, come to Ukraine and see for yourself,” Zelensky declared. “And then he tells me how to end this war, who started it, and when it can end.”
In October, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla conducted a poll among his more than 100 million Twitter followers.
Zelensky responded with his own poll on the social network, asking “Which @elonmusk do you like best?”, with the options “the one who supports Ukraine” and “the one who supports Russia.”
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has urged Kiev to discuss a settlement to the situation after sending soldiers into Ukraine on February 24 under the excuse of “denazifying” the pro-Western nation.
But Zelensky assured that he would never engage in negotiations with Russia as long as Putin was in charge.
