In January, Georgia visited 227,006 visitors that are higher for 41% than last year.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, in January 2012 from the European countries, except for the CIS countries, Georgia visited 101, 347 visitors (44.6% of visited visitors), that in comparison with last year more than for 72%. In January 2012 from the CIS were 118 443 visitors (52.2% of visitors), that is by 22% more than in 2011.

According to the Ministry, in this period from the United States were 2 161 visitors (1% of the arrived visitors), which is by 31% more than in 2011, from Asia 400,394 visitors (1.9% of arrived visitors) that exceeds by 72% of the same period of last year, from Africa 584 visitors (0.3% of arrived visitors) exceeds almost five times more than previous year, and from the rest countries of the world 77 visitors (0.03% of visitors).
