Saakashvili: to the NATO summit in Chicago in 2014, Georgia will be up to snuff

The President and the Government of Georgia should be able to work together to continue the course of integration into NATO, said Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili presenting a new head of the Georgian Armed Forces, Colonel Irakli Dzneladze, attended by Defense Minister Irakli Alasania.

As states administration of President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili said that he had a "constructive" exchange of views on this issue with the Minister of Defense.
"The Department of Defense has the same view that we should continue to move in the direction of NATO", said the president.

"I think we were holding all the aces to further advance after October, 1 but appeared some problems (moving of visit to Georgia NATO Military Committee). I think if any difficulties arise in recent years at least with regard to NATO, we need to overcome them", - Saakashvili said.

"There is no anything that is not irreversible. In 2014, in Chicago will be held the summit of new expansion, and I hope that Georgia by that time will be in up to snuff to get to the next group of NATO expansion" said the president.
