Negotiations of the head of European Commission with Prime Minister of Georgia will be held in Brussels on November, 12

President of European Commission (EC) Jose Manuel Barroso and the new Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili will hold talks on November, 12 in Brussels, said on Friday the EC representative Pia Arnekilde Hansen.


A visit to the administrative capital of the EU will be the first foreign trip to Ivanishvili as a head of the government of Georgia.


"This visit is an opportunity to highlight the long-term commitment of the European Union's stability and development of Georgia," - said Hansen to journalists in Brussels.


According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, a trip to Brussels, the Prime Minister will be held from November 12 to 14. The composition of the Georgian delegation led by Prime Minister included Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze, Defense Minister Irakli Alasania and State Minister for Integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures Alexi Petriashvili.


Georgian diplomatic agency also reported that on November, 14 Ivanishvili will meet with Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
