In Batumi was opened an international conference "European Way of Georgia"

Georgian State Minister for Integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures Alexi Petriashvili on Friday, July 11, opened the International conference "European Way of Georgia" in Batumi (Ajara Autonomous Republic).

Eleventh conference will be devoted to issues related to the signing of the Association Agreement and its parts - a deep and comprehensive free trade area. Also will be discussed agenda of the summit of "Eastern Partnership" in Riga.

"We will have the opportunity to discuss the prospects of Georgia's integration into the European Union, to talk about the challenges and assigned obligations of "Agenda Association". Government is mobilized to ensure that all obligations have been fulfilled, so that Georgia's integration into the EU has accelerated the maximum," - said Petriashvili reporters before the conference.

"Association Agenda" is a three-year plan of priority issues taken on the basis of an Association Agreement with the EU commitments. The aim of the Agenda is to prepare for the process of implementation of the Association Agreement and to facilitate its implementation.

There will also be considered challenges facing Eastern Europe in terms of security and stability, the EU integration process, the prospects for future cooperation within the "Eastern Partnership", as well as the question of the communications strategy and information in the process of Georgia's integration into the EU.

The conference was attended by Georgian officials, member states and partners of the European Union, as well as civil and business sectors.

Conference organized by the State Minister of Georgia unit for integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures was held in Batumi.
