"Belavia" operated its first flight on the route Minsk-Kutaisi-Minsk

The first regular flight of the National Airline of "Belavia" Minsk-Kutaisi (Georgia) - Minsk occurred on May, 28. About this was announced in the press service of the company.

The plane took off from Minsk in Kutaisi at 00.05 with arrival in the designated city at 3.50. Returning to the Belarusian capital was held at 6.35.

 

"Belavia" will fly to the International Airport of Kutaisi in honor of King David, mainly on aircrafts CRJ-100/200 three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Time in one direction takes 2 hours and 45 minutes.

 

In the International Airport of Kutaisi was held the opening ceremony of the new flight. The presentation was attended by leaders of the Belarusian national airport and air carrier. The Deputy General Director of Information Technology RUP of the "National Airline" Belavia" Vladimir Barkun said that he is confident that the establishment of this air service will increase the number of direct and transit passengers traveling through Minsk on points in Europe and the CIS countries.
Experts press service noted that Kutaisi is the third city (apart from Tbilisi and Batumi), where its flies carries the national carrier on a regular basis.

 

The National Airline "Belavia", established in 1996, is the largest airline of Belarus. Based in Minsk National Airport and operates scheduled flights to 41 airports in Europe and Asia. Since 1997 it is a member of International Air Transport Association (IATA), since 2010 - member of the European Regions Airline Association (ERAA).


"Belavia" meets the highest international safety standards. According to the audit of the operating safety of the International Air Transport Association (IOSA - IATA Operational Safety Audit) in 2008 the air company entered into the register of IOSA operators. Its fleet consists of 20 aircrafts (six Boeing-737/500, four Boeing-737/300, four CRJ-100 / CRJ-200, two Embraer-175, three Tu-154M).
